Fr. Eric speaks about the Lord’s exhortation in the context of the Sermon on the Mount to pluck out one’s right eye and cut off one’s right hand (cf. Mt 5:29) in speaking about how we are invited to look for underlying factors that lead to the external manifestation of sin, particularly with regards to sexual sin.
