Reflecting on various stories of healing in the Gospel, particularly the story of the blind man Bartimaeus (Mk 10:46-52), Fr. Eric reflects on what these stories teach us about the reality and process of becoming healed in Christ.
Topics include developing a proper "working image" of God, navigating past various competing voices to focus specifically on the voice of the Good Shepherd, and being patient and learning to persevere in the journey towards becoming healed in Christ.
Fr. Eric speaks also about abandoning sinful habits as a prerequisite to becoming healed in Christ, spiritual blindness caused by sin as being the true evil in life, and the need to appropriate the reality of Christ as Saviour and personal teacher.
